Finally, I have something that is mine!

    It is such a relief to have a space that you find entirely yours.  I always got a strange sense of release as a kid when I could crawl into the deepest recesses of my fort made out of pillows and sheets, or as a teenager into a room finally separate from my sister's.  But now as a college student living in a dorm, 2,223 miles from home, I have found that finding my own place is going to be near impossible for a while.

    Plato said: "Necessity is the mother of Invention," and that is what led me to this microscopic piece of the Internet.  This is going to be my place to get out thoughts or experiences I have had or am having.  I will get to express myself through writing to maybe no one at all or maybe a handful of people that might chance upon this little piece of the blogosphere (if such a word even exists!).  But I don't care how many people read or don't read it.  It is MINE, and I am so excited to begin!!!!
